The Bewitching Hour?

In the last 30 days, I have heard this term several times.  I have often equated it with a very young child, the time in the afternoon, hours after the last nap, but not yet time for bed. All heck breaks loose. Dinner is over, TV <gasp> isn't appropriate for the age group, nerves (mine) are frayed, but unless I like 3 am wake up calls, it just isn't time for bed.

I have had the occasional 8 am phone call, and it begins with "I think this is the bewitching hour....right"? referencing that window of time between dropping off my little guy to the bus depot, but before starting my professional day.

My good friend, Adam D, says the hour between 9 and 10 am is best for reaching people. People are in the office, arranging their day, but not actively IN their day, and are reachable by phone. Adam D won't schedule appointments with people, instead he works the phones. People are fresh, available, and ready to talk.

I am going to try this, too.  Can I call you?
